Privacy Policy

How Dar Almadar collects, uses, stores and protects personal information, and the rights you have under Bahraini data protection law.

Last updated: 30 July 2026

DAR AL MADAR INTERNATIONAL CO W.L.L (“Dar Almadar”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting the privacy of every visitor, customer and supplier who deals with our website daralmadar.com or with our business. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we handle it, and what rights you have over it.

We process personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Bahrain (Law No. 30 of 2018) and its implementing regulations.

1. Who We Are

We are DAR AL MADAR INTERNATIONAL CO W.L.L, a limited liability company registered in the Kingdom of Bahrain under commercial registration number 1-198215, with its registered office at Flat/Shop 11, Building 1022D, Road 1220, Block 1012, Al Hamalah, Northern Governorate, Kingdom of Bahrain. Our licensed activity is the sale and trade of textiles. For the purposes of the Personal Data Protection Law we are the data manager in respect of the personal data described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need in order to respond to you and to trade with you.

  • Information you give us directly. When you submit a quotation request, email us, message us on WhatsApp or telephone us, we collect your name, company name, email address, telephone number, and the details of your enquiry — the fabric, quantity, specification and delivery requirements you describe.
  • Commercial and transactional information. If you place an order we hold the records necessary to perform and account for it: purchase orders, quotations, approved samples and lab dips, delivery notes, invoices, payment records and correspondence.
  • Information collected automatically. Our web server records standard technical data when you visit — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, pages viewed, and the date and time of the visit. This is used for security and to understand which pages are useful.
  • Information we do not collect. We do not collect payment card details through this website. The website has no checkout and takes no card payments. We do not knowingly collect special categories of personal data, and we ask that you do not send them to us.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your enquiry and prepare a quotation;
  • send samples, lab dips and specification documents;
  • process, fulfil and deliver orders, including arranging import and customs clearance;
  • issue invoices and maintain accounting records;
  • provide after-sales support and handle any claim about the goods;
  • comply with our legal, tax, customs and regulatory obligations in the Kingdom of Bahrain;
  • maintain the security and proper functioning of our website;
  • send you commercial information about our fabric range, but only where you have asked us to.

We do not sell personal data. We do not rent, trade or otherwise make personal data available to third parties for their own marketing.

4. Legal Basis and Consent

We process personal data where one of the following applies: you have given consent; processing is necessary to perform a contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into one; processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject; or processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests in a way that does not override your rights.

Where we rely on consent — for example to send you commercial updates — you may withdraw it at any time by emailing info@daralmadar.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out, nor our ability to keep records we are legally required to keep.

5. Cookies

This website uses only the cookies that WordPress itself sets in order to function — for example to keep a logged-in administrator signed in, and to remember your details if you leave a comment. We do not run advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or third-party profiling scripts on this site.

Where a page embeds a Google Maps frame showing our location, Google may set cookies on your device under its own privacy terms. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; doing so will not prevent you from reading this website.

6. Sharing Your Information

We share personal data only where it is necessary, and only with:

  • Mills and suppliers — the minimum needed to place and produce your order, such as the specification, quantities and delivery marks.
  • Freight forwarders, shipping lines and customs brokers — consignee name, address and contact details, as required on shipping and customs documentation.
  • Our accountants and auditors — transactional records, as required by the Commercial Companies Law and for the annual audit.
  • Government authorities — including the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Bahrain Customs, where we are legally obliged to provide information.
  • Our banks — for the purpose of processing payments to and from us.
  • Service providers — our web hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as we need it. Enquiries that do not result in an order are kept for up to 24 months so that we can pick up a conversation you resume. Commercial, accounting and customs records are kept for the period required by Bahraini law — generally not less than five years from the end of the relevant financial year. When a retention period ends we delete or anonymise the data.

8. Data Security

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including access control on our systems, encrypted connections to the website, and limiting access to those in the business who need it to do their job. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure; where you send us commercially sensitive information we are happy to agree a more secure channel.

9. International Transfers

Because we import fabric, some personal data — typically a consignee name and address on shipping documents — is necessarily transferred outside the Kingdom of Bahrain to mills, forwarders and carriers in countries including India, China, Türkiye, Egypt, Pakistan, the Republic of Korea and Japan. We transfer only what the shipment requires, and we do so in accordance with the transfer provisions of the Personal Data Protection Law.

10. Your Rights

Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to:

  • be informed whether we hold personal data about you, and to receive a copy of it;
  • have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
  • have data erased where it is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for;
  • object to processing carried out for direct marketing purposes;
  • object to a decision taken solely by automated processing (we do not currently take any such decisions);
  • withdraw consent where consent is the basis of the processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@daralmadar.com. We will respond within the period the law allows and may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

11. Children’s Privacy

This is a business-to-business website. Our services are not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party sites, such as a certification body or a mill. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please read their own policies before providing them with information.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The version published on this page is the current one, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes will be notified on this page.
