Service Delivery Policy
Last updated: 30 July 2026
DAR AL MADAR INTERNATIONAL CO W.L.L supplies physical goods: woven and knitted fabric. This policy explains how orders are fulfilled and delivered, and what timeframes to plan around. It should be read with our Terms & Conditions.
1. How Orders Are Fulfilled
Every order follows the same route:
- Quotation — we confirm specification, price, minimum order, lead time and terms in writing.
- Sampling — header cards and, where needed, a cutting sample and lab dip for your written approval.
- Order confirmation — issued on your acceptance and any agreed payment; this is when the contract is formed.
- Production or allocation — stock items are allocated immediately; made-to-order goods go into production at the mill.
- Pre-shipment inspection — goods are checked against your approved sample before they leave the mill.
- Shipping and clearance — we prepare the document set and clear the goods into Bahrain through our customs broker.
- Delivery — to your nominated address, against a signed delivery note.
2. Indicative Lead Times
These are realistic planning figures, not promises. The lead time confirmed on your order confirmation is the one that governs.
- Stock items held in Bahrain: 1 – 3 business days for delivery within the Kingdom.
- Samples and header cards: 2 – 5 business days within Bahrain; 5 – 10 business days where the sample comes from the mill.
- Made-to-order, Türkiye origin: approximately 35 – 55 days door to door.
- Made-to-order, Indian or Pakistani origin: approximately 45 – 70 days door to door.
- Made-to-order, Chinese, Korean or Japanese origin: approximately 50 – 80 days door to door.
Those figures break down roughly as 25 – 45 days production and dyeing, 3 – 7 days inspection and documentation, 12 – 28 days sea transit, and 2 – 5 days clearance and delivery. Air freight is available at additional cost where a date is critical.
3. Delivery Area and Method
- Within the Kingdom of Bahrain — delivered by road to your premises. Delivery within Bahrain is included on orders above the threshold stated on your quotation; below it a delivery charge applies and is shown before you confirm.
- To other GCC states and beyond — quoted per shipment on the Incoterms agreed with you (typically EXW, FOB, CFR or DAP). The applicable Incoterm is stated on the quotation and determines who bears carriage, insurance, duty and risk at each stage.
- Collection — you are welcome to collect from our premises in Al Hamalah by prior arrangement.
4. On the Day of Delivery
- We contact you to agree a delivery window. Someone authorised to receive and sign for the goods must be present.
- Please check the roll or carton count against the delivery note before signing, and note any shortage or visible damage on the delivery note itself.
- Off-loading at your premises is your responsibility unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Fabric rolls are heavy; please have suitable access and help available.
- Where a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available or access is inadequate, a re-delivery charge may apply.
5. Part Deliveries and Call-Off
Where an order covers several qualities or colours, we may deliver in parts as goods become available, and will tell you when we intend to. On contract quantities we can hold stock and release it against an agreed call-off schedule so that you are not storing a full order on site; ask us at quotation stage.
6. Delays
If a delivery is going to be late we will tell you as soon as we know, with a revised date and the reason. Common causes are mill production overruns, shade re-approval, vessel schedule changes, port congestion and customs inspection. Where a delay is material and we cannot offer an acceptable revised date, you may cancel the undelivered portion and receive a refund of amounts paid for it, subject to our Refund Policy.
7. Documentation
Each delivery is accompanied by a delivery note and a tax invoice. On imported consignments we can provide, on request, the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin and any technical certificates such as OEKO-TEX or flame-retardancy documentation. Please keep these with your own records — auditors and fit-out clients ask for them, and reconstructing them later is difficult.
8. Confirmation
You will receive written confirmation at order confirmation, at despatch, and on delivery. If you have not received an expected confirmation, contact us on info@daralmadar.com or +973 3768 6890 rather than assuming.
