Where a textile has to survive industrial laundering, hold its colour and keep its shape, polyester and poly-cotton earn their place. We supply 65/35 and 80/20 poly-cotton in the classic uniform constructions, along with 100% polyester in microfibre, peach skin, minimatt and printed qualities.
Polyester also carries print better and more cheaply than cotton, which is why most of the printed fabric we move for retail and promotional work is polyester or a poly blend. Digital, rotary and sublimation printing are all available; the choice depends on your run length and how many colours you need.
The trade-off is breathability. If the end use involves long wear in Gulf summer heat, we will usually steer you towards a poly-cotton with a cotton-rich face rather than 100% polyester, and say so plainly at quotation stage.
